About the MMD 2023

The Maritime Match Day is organised by the study association “S.G. William Froude” of the study Marine Technology at the TU Delft. Once again the MMD returns to its full glory as a physical event — an in-person MMD in the TU Delft's Aula. The Maritime Match Day aims to bring students closer to maritime companies from various sectors. From offshore companies to superyachts builders, and naval architect bureaus to research institutions, every sector will be present at the exhibition floor where companies will present themselves at their stand. This year there will be more than 30 companies attending the exhibition floor, which means that no matter what your interest is, there will be something for you!

Whether you are a first year bachelors student or almost finished with your masters, we welcome you with open arms to come and take a look at the companies of the Maritime sector, and see how your study is put into practice. Even for those who don't study Maritime Technology, you may still be interested in our sector. Come take a look, and discover a world of possibilities!

The main part of the MMD is the exhibition floor, however the day will be filled with many different activities. For example, it is possible to sign up for a case, where you will work with a group of peer students to find a solution to a problem presented by a company. Furthermore, there will be a discussion panel and short presentations with speakers from companies and the TU Delft, discussing several current challenges in the Maritime industry, including sustainability problems. Perhaps — by only looking beyond your horizons, we may find the solutions so desperately needed in this day and age.

Registration is free if you are a member of the S.G. Willaim Froude, otherwise entry costs 5 euros. After the event there will be a three-course dinner; however this is optional and will cost around 22 and a half euros. The whole day will be filled with activities, but it is important to note that nothing is mandatory. This means that you can start and end the MMD at your own convenience.

We, as the MMD committee look forward to seeing you on the 16th of May!

With ever loud splash,
